Local and remote are different
The recorder stores footage locally. The app connects you to the system through a suitable network service. An internet outage may interrupt remote viewing even when local recording continues.
Useful notifications
Select the areas and times that matter. Human and vehicle classification can reduce nuisance alerts on supported equipment, but moving foliage, lighting and placement still affect performance.
Set up securely
Use unique passwords, supported firmware and individual accounts where available. Avoid unnecessary exposure of recorder services to the public internet.
